Doing the Banana Split!

By Goddess Jan · October 28, 2008

Are you feeling like you are being split in two? The old is combating with the new? The world is giving you many opportunities to exercise your vote for one way or the other — let it never be said that a Presidential Voting Year is going to be an easy one. Additionally, there are decisions to make about whether to spend your hard earned dollars on something today that might result in regret later on….when you really need the money. The examples are endless and everyone is feeling the effect as we experience a world going through radical changes.

How can you make decisions on the unknown? It makes you wonder if a decision was ever made in the past that was based on any real facts and all of a sudden many ’sure bets’ start to look doubtful. You may have determined the winning formula for your success only to watch it being taken from your hands. When you are being challenged in so many ways, how can you stop the splitting feeling and go for the sure thing?

There is one way to make a decision that will always be a sure winner and that is doing what is true for you. Even when the reality is that you are feeling unclear about what your heart is telling you, this is no time to stop having faith. It is no time to give up following your heart…quite the contrary! It is time to actually implement the plan that you might have been saving for your secondary route.

Inner trust and faith have been the ‘Plan B’ for many people and perhaps if this pertains to you, it could be why you are experiencing a feeling of being torn between making a decision. Face it, it was easy for you to have faith and trust when all of the cards were stacked in your favor. However, now your boat has been rocked will you still follow your heart or will the head be the winner??????? Curious minds want to know! Yikes therein lies the problem — keep your mind out of making decisions.

The split you are feeling inside is the death of the old way of doing things. In order for your new self to emerge, there has to be the shedding of the skin; you are making room for the new, it is the ending that will prompt a new beginning. Cliche or not, it still remains to be true that when one door closes another one opens.

The real decision is …..how hard will you make this on yourself? Will you cling like cloth to your old views and ways that are practically crumbling around you? Will you reach out for the new and open your heart to guide the way?

Goddess Biz says that right now you may feel you have a choice, however, this where having a good sense of humor can prevail, and there is no choice! Our world is a mirror for what is being reflected from inside of the people. We are all feeling that we are being split down the middle about something that involves letting go of our old ways and making room for the new. While it seems like a new condition it is one that nature practices regularly — ever seen a forest fire? The forest has a natural ability to regenerate itself after a devastating loss and so do you.

Goddess Biz is reminding you today to take stock in what you believe in your heart to be true and have faith above all. When you are wrapped in faith there is nothing to fear or doubt. Take heed, however, that during these times, faith combined with an abundant attitude mixed with good old common sense is all you need to breeze through your split decisions.

When you come to a fork in the road, take it says Yogi Berra of NY Yankee fame. His point and yours are both right on — Procrastination is a “killer”. It tend to wear down your spirit, enthusiasm and progress and creates more questions and even despair and Despair is “simply a dark room where negatives are developed” I’m told…………. so make a decision as soon as you can. Thanks for you blog and motivation.
