New Earth Energy for Business

The Earth is sending out it’s message that our world is

different and for those that still have their heads in the sand, more than likely you got your butt slapped in September! There is a new earth energy that is giving our businesses a new look and feel. You may notice that your desires have changed or that the products and services that you used to offer are no longer something you want to sell. This is a time to stay alert with a relaxed attitude about all of the changes. Rather than working up a lather of anxiety and mental anguish, here are some simple suggestions that anyone can implement into their business today.

1. Adopt a beginner’s mind

Please understand that this is a time where EVERYONE is having to learn something new. It’s all new and nobody knows what to do. The more you open up to receive new learning and how to do things in a new way, the easier it will be for you.

2. Show immense compassion for others

When Hurricane Ike hit the earth a couple of weeks ago, hundreds of thousands of people were effected. Places that have been a landmark in familiar places were destroyed and perhaps eliminated. Many people have lost their family members, businesses, homes and will never recover the losses. It is time to show the same compassion for others as we would to someone that has just lost everything. In essence, we are all feeling the loss of something, regardless of whether Hurricane Ike came through your community. Treat everyone you know with uncommon compassion and this will return to you in many ways.

3. Utilize your talents and skills newly

During this new beginning, you may discover that a skill or talent that you relied on previously in your life will be called forth — in a whole new way. Perhaps this skill was something that you had when you were a child or a young person just starting out in life or when you were a fledging entrepreneur or executive. Take an inventory of what you are especially good at and see how you can use this talent now. You may notice a new excitement when you try your hand at something that you had forgotten about or had not used in many years. One business owner reduced her bookkeeper’s hours and started balancing her own checking account the way she did when her business first started. She discovered this action gave her a renewed since of connection to the income and expenditures of the business and she was able to make adjustments that added to the bottom line.

4. Open your heart and tell your mind to take a vacation!

When your heart is open you have is a feeling that all is well. The contrast to being open hearted is to be driven by anxiety. Your mind will be telling you that you “should” do something, or you “should have known better” or you “could have, if only…..” The mind has a way of turning up the volume on your stress and anxiousness level which results in mental anguish. Who hasn’t had moments of being driven into states of mental turmoil with all of the significant events happening in the world — Presidential election, billion dollar bail out’s, hurricanes, gasoline prices, compounded with your own personal life events. The opportunity is to stop thinking things to death and give up turning life’s events into a drama.

When you take charge of your own personal power you will open your heart which gives the ability to personally fix any situation, medical condition, or even recover from a disaster that you may be experiencing. So open your heart and say out loud “I can fix this situation myself!”
