New Year Starts Today!!!

Today’s date (10 – 01) in numerology has the same signifcance as the first day of the New Year (01 – 01) because when you add the numbers, they both equal 1. Numerologists say that the month of October sets the stage and is a representation of how things will go for you during the next year. In the past, October 1st would have been a great time to initiate or launch something new, however, this is not the case this year. The headline news is freaking everyone out, even the so-called enlightened ones are having a challenge staying connected to their truths and out of the news reporters renditions of what is happening. It all feels like a huge political scam that plays havoc with the parts of ourselves that wanted to believe in the goodness prevailing in our governing systems. Yet here the US is failing in a such a big way which is effecting each and every person, therefore our businesses. Yikes! Is this what we can expect in all of 2009?

Plus we are in the middle of the Mercury Retrograde cycle which is our planet of communications going backwards until mid-October. So if we want the planets, astrology, the universe, our governing systems, and the time of year to all be working in our behalf ……what IS available right now that can be taken advantage of in my business????

Glad you asked! This is the time to make big personal changes so that our current and 2009 businesses can start today and be done in a whole new way that will be in alignment with the new earth energies.

1. Trim your expenses

One way to give yourself an immediate pay increase is to eliminate extra monthly expenses. Even a small expense can add up to be quite an annual expenditure when it is added up over time.

2. Stop using your credit cards and pay off your debts

It is time to do things in a new way and since you cannot be sure what your future income will be right now, you cannot hedge your expenses by spending on credit hoping for income to cover them. Pay off your debts and that will increase your energy flow — that’s a universal law of energy — it is about creating flow.

3. Get your affairs in order

This is probably the best time — especially if you are using this lull in business properly — to get your unfinished book keeping and taxes updated, your filing, your detailed paper work that you pushed off for so long, the will that needs updating. How about looking again more closely at how and where you spend your money and economize on such unncessary expenses that might be draining your bank account on an automatic draft each month. Have a business meeting with your spouse to make sure you are both on the same page and make lists of what each of you will research or accomplish.

4. Communicate with those people that come on your radar screen

During Mercury Retrograde, the communication planet will bring people back around for you to speak with — especially those where you left your relationship dangling with unfinished communications or hurt feelings or perhaps you just need a good visit to catch up. It will bring those situations around that want your attention — like an unpaid, over due bill. Pay attention to who is on your radar screen which includes emails, phone calls or the people, tasks or situations that are in your thoughts frequently. Give these people a call and tell them you are thinking of them. Spread some love around — we all need some extra love and attention right now.
